"I
chose the basic/teaser lesson because I had never surfed before and
just wanted to add that experience to my list of "Things I've Tried in
this Life." The fist section of the lesson covered basic techniques on
the surfboard in the sand, "how to fall off" and other basic safety
procedures. While in the water, for the second section of the
lesson, I was a bit frustrated waiting for so long on the board,
wanting to get out to where the bigger waves were breaking, but our
instructors must've had a reason for keeping us in the shallow water.
I was pleased that I was able to actually stand on the board a few
times--such a great emotional high!"
