Girls Rip is my new favorite surfing video. I love it. Itˇ¦s replacing my previous favorite, Longboard Fever. Those Burt Toast guys really know what they are doing. Theyˇ¦ve produced a luxurious hour and twenty minutes of non stop longboarding action by the best surfing goddesses alive. Mary Osborne, Schuyler McFerran, Kim Hamrock, Margaret Yao and others rip up that California coastline in the most graceful and powerful way. That Malibu wave makes me want to travel to Cali and think about buying a wetsuit (eww!). Itˇ¦s so long and perfect. As much as I appreciate living in paradise and surfing in only a swimsuit, I may just have to plan a trip. These girls make walking on water look easy. A few times I saw boys trying to drop in. Yet these strong women held their ground with a persistent grace. Good karma saturates them as they talk about each otherˇ¦s talents and good natures. Girls Rip not only entertains but inspires and teaches in its examples of greatness. The camera work in this film makes me feel like Iˇ¦m surfing on the same wave as these extremely talented girls.  Watch close as Kassia Meador (my hero) dons a new hairdo in every shot.  Just like Longboard fever, this ipod extravaganza wonˇ¦t be leaving my DVD player for a very long time. These girls truly rip.
