Longboards

Surf Project incorporate the latest advancements in the E2 epoxy
manufacturing process. Construction updates have come to two important
areas; board weight and appearance. All models are now noticeably
lighter. This is due to a revised fiber epoxy laminate schedule that¡¦s been
enhanced with the addition of multiple Uni-Fiber stringers in the deck and
in the bottom of the board.
The Uni-Fiber stringers combine lengthwise glass fibers into the surface
lamination for support and tensile strength on the deck and bottom of the
board. With the structural support provided by the stringers a reduced
surface laminate can be used, making a lighter board. To the surfer it
creates a board that offers more performance and a livelier feeling on the
wave.
Another addition is that the rails of the boards have
been further reinforced with increased layers of fiberglass. The additional
fiberglass/epoxy in this crucial area of the board help protect from dings
and increase the break strength by acting as a frame.
The final advancement comes with the boards finish.
All models now have a polished clearcoat finish. This makes for a better
looking board that stays clean!
