Girls Who Surf monitors students at the highest level of
professionalism - from the beach surf briefing, through the
first waves, all the way until the student returns to the
beach.

going with a professional at all?
Please learn more about Surfer's Paralysis - a
condition for which first time surfers are at risk.
Surfer's Paralysis is a non-traumatic injury caused by
repeated hyperextension of the back for a long period of
time on the surfboard, causing temporary problems of blood
flow to the spinal cord. The best and only known
defense is to identify symptoms early - tingling,
discomfort, weakness, or pain in your neck, spine, or legs.
